As per Ferda’s everlasting information on being a smart shopper, I heard through the grapevine that the frames I purchased at Michael’s a few weeks back were on sale for $15. With my receipts in hand I managed to score $20 back from my purchases! Can’t go wrong!
At the same time I picked up my Pearl Jam poster which I had custom framed. I must admit it looks pretty slick. I spent last night hanging up the majority of my art prints all over the house but have yet to find an ultimate spot for this poster. It isn’t a large picture so it is kind of waste if I put it on a large wall. I think Vero will have to help us out on this decision.
Today marks an excellent music day as there are new releases from the Arcade Fire, Finger Eleven AND a Megadeth DVD – all for $9.99. I find it intriguing that a lot of music DVDs nowadays are so cheap, whereas a 2 hour film with a bonus disc of commentaries go for $30 usually (unless it’s on extreme sale).
While I can see paying $10 for a movie, I can’t see paying an extra $10-$20 for the bonus disc that comes with it. Just doesn’t make sense. Rarely do I buy DVDs when they come out – I wait until I find a previously viewed copy somewhere. An exception could be made in cases such as the Casino Royale DVD coming out next week. Can’t go wrong with grabbing a new Bond DVD. But the others? Meh. Wait it out, get the disc elsewhere.
