Awww yeah, Vero brought out the big guns this year for my birthday and on Wednesday, August 12, we are going to see Bachman-Cummings in Montreal! Heck yeah! Could they be the greatest songwriting duo next to McCartney-Lennon? Perhaps, perhaps. We will see them in all their glory at the Theatre St-Denis which I’ve never been to but can only imagine that it will rock!

Along with a lovely meal of salmon, I enjoyed the night with Vero as we reveled in the fact that we are going to see Bachman-Cummings as well as watched Short Circuit 2. As you may or may not know, Vero is deathly afraid of robots, but somehow, Johnny 5 manages to make the cut and she is fine watching this lovable robot. I am going to try out other robot movies on her to see if she will be fine with them. First up – Robocop.

It’s quite the pain when you catch an early bus, get to work around 7:15, realize your pass has expired because your birthday was yesterday (passes are good for five years…FIVE YEARS I’VE BEEN A PERMANENT EMPLOYEE? AWESOME. 25 and counting ladies.), realize that the security office only opens at 7:30, call your colleagues who usually are in before you, realize they are not in, end up going to renew your pass at 7:30, finding out that I still need to get a form filled out, and then finally get into work.
