You know what’s really cool about the new album from Flight of the Conchords? The liner notes have guitar chords for each song! Neat-o! I was quite impressed and it makes me want to put those liner notes in my wallet at all times so I can whip it out when someone says “I wish someone could play Hurt Feelings RIGHT NOW!”
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the album, but it collects everything from Season 2.
Speaking about Season 2 and Season 3 of the show, turns out that Jemaine has mentioned that they don’t know if they will bother with a third season as it’s a lot of work to not only produce the show, but to write the songs in such a short period of time. He didn’t rule it out, but he thought there may be ‘specials’ in the future.
I can’t say I don’t agree with this plan. While there are some great, great tracks from Season 2, all in all, I found most of them to be forced…in Season 1 they had a collection of awesome folk songs that they put into a show and the episode was adapted around the songs they had. It was the reverse scenario in Season 2 where they would come up with an idea for a show and then write songs for them.
So in the end, no awesome songs about robots happen that way. 🙁
