A new genre was mysteriously discovered on my iPod today.
Funk.
Man, this stuff is wild. I dig the funk. I think I dug it ever since George Clinton and the P-Funk appeared on P.C.U. (which may be the coolest unknown University film there ever was. Heck, I like how the Dean in Old School is the wild child in PCU. You have to watch this movie. Did you know it was filmed entirely in Toronto? Viva le Canada.)
Funk man…are there any funk fans out there? Give me a trumpet and I’ll funk the entire house down.
iplaying: Coconut by Harry Nilsson – Reservoir Dogs soundtrack
Hey, for all those out there with an iPod, I highly recommend playing the genres option once in awhile. It’s fun!
Quote from PCU:
Tom: What’s he doin?
Droz: He’s finishing his senior thesis. Pigman is trying to prove the Caine-Hackman theory. No matter what time it is, 24 hours a day, you can find a Michael Caine or Gene Hackman movie playing on TV.
Tom: That’s his thesis?
Droz: Yes! That’s the beauty of college these days, Tommy! You can major in Game Boy if you know how to bullshit.

Sooooooooo true… Just look at some of the courses offered – Basket Weaving! Ball-room dancing! I have a friend taking a class called “Popular Music” – his tests are litterally NAME THAT TUME!
Popular music? Where’s that at? I’m in.
Good ol’ Carleton University! Thursday night’s 6-9.
They listen to songs like: “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, “Somewhere over the rainbow”, “She Shook Me All Night Long”… ya…
