So I am assuming that most readers are familiar with the ridiculous acronym of ‘laugh out loud’ or LOL.
The thing is, I think this is overused and should only really be used in situations where you DO laugh out loud. Case in point, I was messaging a colleague at work and they replied LOL but I could clearly realize that there was no real laughter out loud. Even a simple ‘Ha!’ would have sufficed.
Now I realize that the Internet is a sham altogether.
