VBall to the Eye!

Last night I went to the Royal Oak with Amanda and Mike for some grub before the volleyball game.  I must admit that the caesar salad at the Oak was one of the best I’ve ever had!  And for a small salad, they give you a lot!

After a few beer to limber us up for the game, we headed over to the gym and met up with Marley and Casey.  It was only five of us on the court as Vero had gone home sick with something.

We got obliterated in the first game and didn’t do too bad in the final two games.  Actually, I think our game improved as the effects of the beer went away!

Unfortunately, I was right behind Amanda when she bumped a ball backwards and it landed square in my eye!  I’m pretty sure my eye was open at the time as I was quite dazed and was seeing spots.  I was seeing stars for a few minutes after and a black spot on the top of my eye for the remainder of the game.  I went back to Mike’s place to put some ice on it and went home and iced it again.

This morning it isn’t TOO bad but there’s something off with my vision…I can see fine but once in awhile I still see a black spot in the top of my eye.  I will wait the weekend to see if it changes, otherwise I’ll head to the optometrist on Monday.

Volleyball is always fun, but a ball to the eye is not!
